Living life in London as a young professional

London’s areas

Great, now you have the city sorted, which side do you settle down in… You are in luck my friend as we have created a little guide for some of the best spots in town

West London

We begin in West London where you have the spoils of Chiswick and Richmond where you can enjoy a nice 5km park run along the river or enjoy a coconut-flavoured flat white from one of the many independent coffee shops that litter the high-street. With Twickenham on your doorstep and the likes of Kew Gardens, you will struggle to find a weekend where you will be lost for plans or things to do. If you do, then a few hours on MADE.com: Design Furniture & Accessories looking at how to kit our 1 bed is a good place to sink some time with your favourite local brew IPA or kombucha!

East London

From the West, we go to the East to the trendy areas of Shoreditch where you will be spoiled with bars, restaurants, and some of the best markets in London! Not the cheapest of up-and-coming areas in London but a gateway to even trendier areas like Stoke Newington and London Fields where you can find yourself amongst the creative types

South London

Just like that, we jump to the South of the river, the postgraduate congregation of Clapham and surrounding areas. The Burrough of Wandsworth boasts even more bars and trendy spots to enjoy your eggs and avocado! With Clapham Junction being a Mega Hub of connection to the rest of London you can enjoy connectivity and cheap council tax at the same time! Be sure to make good use of Transport for London’s site for all the updates on travel  Keeping London moving – Transport for London (tfl.gov.uk)

North London

And finally, North London, the home of some of the best football teams in the world. Yes, that’s right, I am talking about the almighty Arsenal FC Official Website | Home | Arsenal.com (just joking).

Areas like Angel and Hoxton boast awesome green spaces, popular restaurants and excellent connections to the rest of London making it a cool area for young professionals looking to get adventurous on their weekends.

As you can probably tell, all areas of London offer a fantastic array of bars, restaurants and fun – you will struggle to not find something unique or quirky in each area! Our best tip before committing to an area is to spend some time in each area and see what feels right, the bars in the West of London may not rock your boat like those in the East.

No matter where you are if your landlord or agent is using Lofti Property Management Software you can rest assured that if anything needs fixing or replacing, the Lofti tenant app will allow you to report with ease, using videos and images to get things back in order so you can get back to listening to your rare viny record in peace 😉

We hope this has helped just a little bit in your journey to living and enjoying London!
